Does anyone know how much creatinine is excreted in urine by children
(mg/kg/day)? I've seen values in the literature of about 10-15 mg/kg/day
(but no real data). The most recent measurement I could find is 11.3
mg/kg/day. This is somewhat lower than found for adults (even women).

Hi Michael!
Some people here measured creat excretion recently in 21 kids of age 2 to 3 y.
They had 183 samples. Mean creatinine (in g/L) in urine was 0.49 (SD: 0.3),
median: 0.43, min 0.05, max 2.31. For their parents the values were
1.24 (+- 0.59)
1.2; 0.2; 2.74 respect. I don't have the weight or the urine
excretion rate but you
could work with reasonable assumptions.
