Hello all,
Can anyone here provide me with insight as to how long after discontiuation,
will erythromycin continue to inhibit CYP1A2's activity? Is it directly
related to it's elimination half life? provision of primary literature would
also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Glenn

We did a small pilot study in this general area (although with
cyclosporin which is cyp 3A4 metabolised, not cyp 1A2) some years ago
which may be of some help.
TC Lee, BG Charles LJ Filippich. Controlled study of the interaction
between continuously infused erythromycin lactobionate and cyclosporine
in the adult sheep. Pharm Pharmacol Lett 1993;3:111-113.
