I looking for some compound/drug that is not stable in plasma and can
be analyzed by LC/MS/MS to use as a control in my plasma stability
assays? Any suggestions.
Thanks.

Dear Prabhu
You can try Carbidopa which is highly unstable in
plasma. However to control the degradation which may
happen instantaneously, you can try different
concentrations of anti-oxidant (like sodium
metabisulphite)spiked along with Carbidopa stocks.
Hope it will help you.
Best wishes

Hi, Saileta,
Small inexpensive peptides such as Phe-Pro and others are good
candidates.

Hi Saileta,
we have been analyzing ascorbic acid and
dehydroascorbic acid in human plasma. Dehydroascorbic
acid is not stable in plasma (t1/2 ~2min). Moreover,
it is not UV absorbing. I think its analysis by LC/MS
is reported.
hope it helps

There is a colorimetric method for Ascorbic acid. IT can be adapted
for use
in a micortiter plate format and analyzed using softmax pro. This
requires
very little plasma.
