The following message was posted to: PharmPK
Dear All, Could anyone let me know possible intraconazole
solubilizers in water? I would like to prepare an aqueous solution of
intraconazole stable in the gastric pHs.
Thank you very much

It can be solubilised using cyclodextrins, in fact, Janssen have a
commercial product (Sporonax Oral Solution 10 mg/mL) which has
hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin in the oral solution and iv formulation
in some countries
See; L. Willems et al, Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics
26;159-169: 2001.
It is also slightly soluble in some alcohols.
