Dear All
We are working with small pieces of pig skin (about 1 square cm) and we
are
trying to extract back drugs delivered into skin from the skin itself.
Does anyone can help with a good homogenization method for a whole skin
?
Thanks,
Tami

Try freezing it, then grinding with dry ice in an industrial strength
blender. Let the dry ice evaporate in a -20 C freezer before weighing
and
analyzing the powdered tissue using your favorite extraction. I haven't
tried pig skin (yet), but this method does work with salmon skin which
is a
fairly tough matrix.
