Dear All,Back to the Top
I am new to Pharmacokinetic studies and please guide me regarding this.
I have designed a new model for drugs that undergo severe Enterohepatic
circulation. For that I wanted to quantify at various time points, the
concentration of drug in the bile periodically at various time points .In
the efforts put by me I have found that biliary canulae are best tools to
collect and quantify the drug.since these are costly can i approach to
remove the gallbladder and quantify ?.
anybody may help regarding this.please send me suggestions.Thank You in Advance.
If you are talking about a mouse model, it is a reasonable approach,Back to the Top
however the volume of bile is minimal (ca 50 to 100 uL) and you might want
to pool 3-4 animals/timepoint requiring sacrifice of the animals. This
approach is somehow impossible with rats, as you probably know, they do not
have gallbladders.
