Can anybody give manufacturer's ID for Bollman - type cages for rats ?
We need to use them for portal vein cannulated rats.

Dont you think its really harsh on those animals to restrain them in a
bollman cages. what is the objective of the study? kinetic or something
else? how long do you intend to keep in them?
think about the other models where you can keep the animal free and yet
can collect the blood samples not putting the animals to stress. the
restraining the rats in bollman would induce stress in the animals that
might affect the kinetic outcome.
just a thought.

Agree, by means of protective jacket, steel tether and rotating
swivel,the technology is out there to allow blood collection on
unrestrained freely moving rodents, just check the suppliers of rodent
infusion apparatus.
