Is there any comprehensive review
(published) or listing of drugs binding to specific binding sites of
albumin.
There is some data on subdomain IIa and IIIa (binding site I and II)
but publication is
apparently lacking on specific listing for each domain.
I am also interested in other not so well characterized binding site
(bilirubin binding site etc).
Thanks in advance

Jean-Pierre,
There are several excellent papers by Crag-Hansen with specific
association
constants for drugs as well as fatty acids and other endogenous
compounds.
There is also a book written by Theodore Peters Jar. called 'All About
Albumin' (Academic Press HOB Ltd, 1996. Hardback, ISBN 0125521103) which
gives a comprehensive list of compounds and is, as it says, all about
albumin. For comprehensive reviews, the Hansen-Hansen papers appear to
be
the best. A Medline search would list them all but a short list are:
Molecular aspects of ligands binding to serum albumin. [Review] [297
refs]1981
Practical aspects of the binding-binding and enzymatic properties of
human
serum albumin. [Review] [139 refs]2002
Evidence for a large and flexible region of human serum albumin
possessing
high affinity binding sites for salicylate, warfarin, and other ligands
1988
I hope these help,

Dear Jean-Pierre Moreau
You can find some data about albumin binding sites in the following
articles (I can send you full texts of these articles):

Acids, 2002, 67:65.
2. He X.M., Carter D.C. Nature, 1992, 358:209.
