Dear Members,
Since the effect of the drug "fluoxetine" varies from subject to
subject for Calculation of AUC0-t, do we have to consider the last
measurable concentration or the last collected point? (i.e AUClast or
AUCall from WinNonlin).
I will be grateful if someone could suggest me.
Thanking you,

dear Kanimozhi,
when you want to calculate the AUCt you have to go for
AUC last and if the terminal elimination not enough to
calculate the elimination rate you should not
calculate AUCinf.
For the calculation of AUCt in fluoxetine you have to
go AUClast not AUCall.

Dear Kanimozhi
For regulatory purposes, calculate AUClast. For exploratory purpose,
you can consider either.

Dear Kanimozhi,
I hope you are planning for a parallel study since you are worried of
inter
subject variability, since fluoxetine is a long half life drug if you
are
planning for a truncated AUC then there is no question of AUCt or
AUCall.
If you are planning for complete sampling study then you have to
consider
last measurable concentration only i.e., AUCt and extrapolated AUC also.
