Dear All,
We are going to conduct the BE study of oral suspension for that we
have in-house procedure; But, we find some difficulties with this
procedure.
Can you tell me, what is the procedure for dispensing and dosing of
oral suspension?
Thanks with Regards,

Dear Prakash
As you are working with CRO, I believe that the
sponsor must have suggested the method of dispensing.
If so, then it is better you adhere to those
instructions only.
If there are no such instructions provided, I would
suggest that you can either choose weight/ml method
(you must have the acceptable range in weight
difference). Alternatively you can go for the volume
dispensing (it is better to use the special type of
syringes especially meant for these purposes). I
believe that BIAXIN (clarithromycin oral suspension)of
Abott contains these type of syringes with the
products.
But, when you use syringes for dispensing, you must
ensure that the air bubbles are least in the
suspension dispensed. The air bubbles will
significantly occupy a volume, which may finally
affect the result of the study.
