Hello Group,
I am in the process of garnering information regarding carbonyl
reductase enzyme. While going through the literature I got following
doubts
1. In one of the articles its mentioned that most of the reactions
catalysed by this enzyme are reversible and in other one its
mentioned that the reactions are irreversible. Can anybody share
their experience in this aspect.
2. Its mentioned in one of the review articles that this enzyme is
localized in all the major human tissues. Is anybody among the group
having idea regarding relative expression of this enzyme with respect
to other CYP enzymes in the liver and small intestine (mainly CYP3A).
Thanks in advance
Ravi
