Dear all,
which standard substrate do you normally employ to check the activity
of liver microsomes which are stored in the refrigerator? I know
there are several Cyt specific substrates, but is there something
normally employed for checking the activity of the whole fraction?
Another question: how do you cope with the progressive alkalinisation
of plasma during storage?
Thanks
Federica

Dear Frederica
To neutralize the alkalinisation of the plasma I suggest you to use the
lactic acid which is a physiological acid. Some uL are often sufficient
Hope this helps,
