Dear Mr. Carlos
When we administered the drug by oral route, there are many factors
that can modify the absorption of the drug (i.e. motility of gut, pH,
gastric emptying etc..etc..). But metabolite is formed only after
drug enters into the blood, so here modifying factor is only
metabolism. This is the case when presystemic metabolism does not
take place.
But if the presystemic metabolism takes place case may be different
and your metabolite may show similar or high variability than parent
drug.
