Dear members,
We are estimating the concentrations of an NCE in lungs following
intransal drug administration (formulation is micronized powder by
metered dose inhaler). Will there be any lag time for the drug to
reach the lungs ? I mean to say whether C0 concentration is of
highest value as in case of plasma concentration following i.v. bolus
administration or will it be 0 as in case of plasma concentration
following oral administration at 0 minutes.
References or citations will be appreciated.

Vittal.S, re administration to via the lungs
Delivery to the lungs avoids the first pass metabolism in the liver;
and so is faster, but not directly comparable to, oral
administration. Incidentally, metered dose inhalers are usually used
for inhalation by mouth, not the nose.

Dear Vittal,
Its should be of highest value as in case of plasma concentration
following i.v. bolus.
