Dear Dr. Tsaioun,
If you are talking about cysteine kind of molecules, you can easily
derivatize it using 10 mM iodoacetic acid in 10 mM ammonium
bicarbonate at pH10. If you suspect autooxidation, you may use
dithiotheritol in the same buffer. For ESI analysis, you may use 0.1%
formic acid in water and in acetonitrile with a suitable column.
