Dear Group Members,
Are there drugs that are primarily metabolized by UGT 2B7 besides
carbamazepine and valproate?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Raju, Morphine Metabolize primarily by UGT2B7 to Morphine
Glucuronide.
So people use it as a specific proble for UGT2B7 inducer/inhibitor
screening.

Raju,
AZT (zidovudine)is glucuronidate via 2B7 (some papers were published
suggesting that it could be used as probe substrate).

Hello
The immunosuppressive agent mycophenolic acid (MPA) is metabolized by
UGT2B7
to an acyl glucuronide (acyl-MPAG) metabolite . It is a minor but
important
pathway because the acyl-MPAG is believed to be toxic.

Dear Raju,
I'm thinking of clofibric acid, diclofenac and zidovudine (Williams

glucuronyl transferases substrates: a pharmacokinetic explanation for
typically observed low exposure (AUCi/AUC) ratios. Drug Metab Dispos

Hope this helps,
