Anybody out there has experience in detection of azythromycin in
plasma/serum? We try to use electrochemical detector + HPLC. But no
luck in low concentrations.Any comments

It does not have a good uv chromophore. There are a few papers on
derivatization with flourescence. I have used ion trap lc/ms with
good success. There are several recent papers on triple quad lc/ms
which look good on paper.
Best of luck.

Dear Ahmad
Electrospray MS is really the best way to detect azithromycin. You
should also bear in mind that the bulk of the circulating material
will be granulocytes and not in serum/plasma. Consider extracting
whole blood as one option.
Good luck,
Michael
