Hi,I am relatively new to pop pk analysis and have been working with
Monolix software. I was wondering if there are some references to help
learn about SHRINKAGE concept and how it applies to modeling.
Thanks,Shringi

Shringi,
The best place to read about shrinkage in this excellent paper by Mats
Karlsson and Rada Savic.
Karlsson MO, Savic RM. Diagnosing model diagnostics. Clin Pharmacol
Ther. 2007;82(1):17-20.
The theory applies generally to any software using empirical Bayesian
estimates but the examples are based on NONMEM.

Hi Shringi,
Re. SHRINKAGE in the context of Empirical Bayesian Estimates, see the

It is easier to start with simple linear mixed model and understand the
basic concept of empirical Bayesian estimate and shrinkage. There is a
close-form equation for you to understand what is driving shrinkage in a
linear mixed model. A good reference is Linear Mixed Models for
Longitudinal Data by Geert Verbeke and Geert Molenberghs.
