What protein precipitating reagent can i use in analysis of
sulphadoxine pyrimethamine that will not result in loss of the drugs
in extraction process
Thanks

Try acetonitrile

Best thing to do is to evaluate a number of different extractants to
select the one which gives the best recovery, while simultaneously
providing a sample of good quality (for the chromatography step). An
optimium sample recover procedure may not be the one that gives the
best drug recovery; you have to take sample quality into account. You
would like to lose as much of the matrix as possible, while retaining
drug recovery.
I recommend the following paper from Blanchard J. entitled "Evaluation
of the relative efficacy of various techniques for deproteinizing
plasma samples prior to high-performance liquid chromatographic
analysis".

Dear Kehinde
You can use Cold acetonitrile minimum in the ratio of 1:1 with plasma
or Perchloric acid or trichloroacetic acid or Zinc chloride.
