I would appreciate any advice on setting up a four-compartment model using Phoenix or classical Winonlin. I have constructed the model graphically (in Phoenix), but am unable to obtain secondary parameters.
Thank you

Marc,
In Phoenix, you can request Secondary Parameters by adding them on the Secondary Tab of the Parameters tab of the Phoenix model object; the syntax in Phoenix Modelling language is;
secondary(AUCinf = dose / (v * k10))
See also the user manuals e.g. page 729. of the Users Guide that can be found in C:\Program Files\Pharsight\Phoenix\docs, there are some examples included with the installation in C:\Program Files\Pharsight\Phoenix\application\Examples to get you started. I would also suggest you look at http://www.pharsight.com/extranet
to discuss models with other users; and use http://www.pharsight.com/training
to identify a training course that may help you, normally there are a few academic places reserved on these public courses. Best regards,
Simon.

Dear Marc,
On phoenix, after you have built the graphical model, I think you should
edit is as textual then. Your structural model will be edited as you
built it. Then, you should write yourself your secondary paramaters.
(well as a student, I am just starting using phoenix so this information
may be confirmed. But you could also register on the pharsiight's forum
if you would like getting more precisions for the software running)
Regards,
Aline
