Our Toxicology lab is considering the purchase of a new LcMsMs system for medical drug screening, therapeutic drug monitoring and forensic drug screening and confirmation and vitamin D analysis. My somewhat biased opinion is that the API 3200qTrap from Applied Biosystems with an Agilent HPLC and the Cliquid software will meet our needs ( cost is very important < 300K). Is there anyone out there that could give me an idea as to alternatatives and if these instruments are more or less sensitive than the 3200qtrap? Any opinions as to the best <$300K lc msms system.
Thanks, Larry Coffin Technical Specialist Toxicology
