Dear all,
I am willing to know about a method of classification of BBB permeability by using Log PA or PS (Apparent permeability surface area product) value generated by in-situ BBB permeability in rat model, as I am getting the value in between -2.0 to -4.0 for our compounds. I have to rank these compounds on the basis of low, medium or high permeability. I have gone through literature suggesting the classification on the basis of nature of compounds (ie. Acidic, Basic and Neutral) and mechanism of transport (ie.Active transport, Passive and p-gp medited efflux) (Ref.Liu, et al DMD 32:132-139, 2004). Could any one suggest the classification method of compounds on the basis of low, medium and high permeability? Your comments are highly appreciated.
