dear all,
i want to open a discussion chaper on mass spec calibration.
suggestions are invited to how to calibrate a mass spectrometer
Q
1>Is it necessary to calibrate a mass spec for both positive and negative ions.
2>what are the solutions that can be used for positive and negative calibration.
viz. NaICs, NaIRb, PEG, PPG, OPA, horse myoglobin and pig, bovine serum albumin
3>In positive calibration we can use NaCsI for mass of 20-2000 amu,
but is there any solution available that can cover this range for
negative calibration.
