Can anyone provide me with a reference providing support for either the
K2 or the K3 counterion when sampling with EDTA in analytical studies?

Jennifer-
I believe that the 2007 J Pharm Sci White Paper Article from the 2006
Crystal City Conference indicated that the general feeling was that the
counterion for EDTA was not generally a critical factor. I'm traveling
today, so can't provide the exact citation.
