Dear Dr. Jacob,
What you can do is, take blank matrix from nonsmokers volunteers with strict
restriction of for 3-4 days in-house with controlled access. Also all staff
should have to follow strict restriction for usage of nicotine.

Ratnakar

Dear Dr Jacob,
Additionally, during sample processing and bioanalytical analysis, only
allow non-smokers from the clinic and the lab to handle the samples. It
is also helpful to prewash the transfer tubes with methanol.
Best of Luck,
Christine
