Dear All:
Does anyone can tell me the value of villus blood flow which is used to calculate the Qgut? Thanks!

Dear Jian
Please look at the following paper:
Yang, Jamei, Yeo, Tucker, Rostami-Hodjegan (2007) Prediction of intestinal first-pass metabolism. Curr Drug Metab 8 676-684.
This paper discusses villous blood flow (Qvilli) for an average (healthy) adult. It is expressed as a proportion of total mesenteric flow.
Where these blood flows are expressed as a proportion of total cardiac output this allows (inter-individual) variability in the latter to be propagated to the former ...
Note that total mesenteric blood flow and hence Qvilli increases in the fed state.
