  Hello PharmPK members (Book update)
  
  Version 1.0 of Basic Pharmacokinetics: Truncated is now on 50 Apple
  iBookstores. This free version contains the first eight chapters of the
  full course with the updated widgets which now remember your preference
  of CL/V or kel/V across widgets and book views using localStorage (a
  JavaScript function). Also, the figures have been been revised.
  
  Apple now includes a versioning facility with iBooks. The current
  version 1.0 may not be fully part of this system. If you have already
  downloaded the earlier version you should be able to delete it and =
  re-download
  the new version. When I delete them from my iPad they show a little =
  cloud
  which suggests they are available for re-downloading. I'm guessing the
  next version will show up as an automatic upgrade/download
  similar to updating apps.
  
  I am still busy working on the next full version, proctoring a final
  this morning allowed for some significant proof reading time. I hope to
  submit this upgrade soon in time for my next Basic Pharmacokinetics
  class in January (Apple reviewers are recently taking about two weeks
  for review).
  
  Most recently I thought that it might be useful to provide an electronic
  book for the iPad including the PharmPK archives. I have been providing
  a CD with this and other material but think an iBook (and possibly pdf)
  version might be just as useful if not more so. Comments on this
  endeavor would be welcome. I will start by putting together the early
  discussions. It looks like a pdf version can be submitted to the
  bookstore. As this will be a relatively inactive (:-) book it should be
  possible to prepare this in multiple (two) versions.
  
  I hope you can explore these offerings and consider them for
  recommendations to your students and colleagues. Search for 'David
  Bourne' on the iBookstore. These books require an iPad with the latest
  version of iBooks.
