Hello,
I am novice in the field of IVIVC and Iam trying to understand the background of
using Polynomial UIR function for deconvolution from PO &IV Bolus data.
What is the significance of increasing exponentials from 2(bi),3(tri),...etc for
predicting the absorption profile of the drug
Can any body explain me
Regards
Kaushik

Hi Kaushik,
I don't know about polynomial functions, but for fitting exponentials,
typically to the weighting (IV data), you should select the appropriate
model (e.g. bi-, tri) using statistical criteria (i.e. lowest AIC, minimise
CV of parameter estimate, view observed vs. predicted data, partial
derivatives etc.).
If you are using deconvolution in WinNonlin, the oral data does not need to
be fitted and help is online regarding appropriate selection of models.
