Dear All,
I would appreciate recommendation on good textbook(s) that treats basics of
population pharmacokinetics, and Modelling and Simulation.
Most textbooks do not discuss rudimentary.
Looking forward.

Dear Muyiwa,
This is not an answer to your question but is a related one.
To nurture your interest in population PK-PD modeling and more, you can take a
look at the online Executive Master's program in pharmacometrics offered at
University of Maryland, by the Center for Translational Medicine.

I presume you are aware of the excellent book that David Bourne wrote on Mathematical
Modeling of Pharmacokinetic Data. This is a good introduction to numerical aspects of PK
but does not cover population analysis.
Another good book for basic PKPD is Sara Rosenbaums book Basic Pharmacokinetics and
Pharmacodynamics, an Integrated Textbook and
Computer Simulations. This covers more models and less numerics.
As regards population analysis it would be a matter of finding a book that meets your
needs. Mixed effects models are at the more complex end of regression analysis so it would
depend on your background. Peter Bonate has written extensively on this subject.
Cheers
Steve

Dear Muyiwa,
You can try the following books for Basics of Population Pharmacokinetics and modelling.
1. Bonate PL. Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic Modeling and Simulation. New York: Springer;
2005.
2. Jim E. Riviere, Jason Chittenden, Comparative Pharmacokinetics: Principles, Techniques,
and Applications, Second Edition, 2011.
3. XH Huang. Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic Modeling and Simulation. Am J Pharm

Greetings,
Dr. Ene Ette and I have a book called "Pharmacometrics: The Science of
Quantitative Pharmacology". We also published a trilogy in "The Annals of
Pharmacotherpy" year = 2004, that addresses the basics of population modeling.
Cheers!
