Dear All,
I would like know the PK profile of subcutaneous administration of NCEs in
Rodents, particularly in jugular vein cannulated rats.
Is there any chances to observe variability in PK profile (like variation in
Tmax,Cmax,Kel etc) within in rats due to improper administration by SC.
Kindly give your valuable suggestions.
Thank you in advance.
Regards
Praveen

It is always possible to observe variability due to poor technique.
Variabiity may also arise from such factors as solubility in the sc
formulation. Generally though, we see much tighter results sc than by
po or ip administration.

Also my experience supports the statements of Norman Huebert: variability
after sc. dosing is always expected less than po or ip formulation, if not,
factors affecting the release of solution from injection site have to be
considered (poor solubility, inappropriate injection technique, etc.).
