Dear All:
Often food effects are studied using a high fat breakfast as the meal, and can be compared with the
fasted state with morning administration of the drug. Similarly, when a formulation is administered
in the evening, it can be compared given with a high fat meal and in the fasted state in the
evening.
Some MR drug formations, e.g. verapamil and diltiazem formulations have been preferred for evening
administration providing therapeutic concentrations the next morning.
I am searching for examples in literature of instances of where the food effect of an MR formulation
has been studied giving the drug in the evening in the fasted state and studying the food effect the
next morning comparing the fed (high fat breakfast) and fasted states.
Any examples for MR formulations would be most appreciated,
