Dear netters,
One of my colleague wants to know about a software called Ligand
that is used for receptor binding studies. I would appreciate any help on
some information about the software, the supplier and the cost. Thanks.

Hello Delwar,
I would like to input some of my knowledge on Ligand, which I knew at the
time of 1990.
Ligand is a versatile computer program (on IBM PC, Mac, VAX, etc.),
developed by Dr. Munson in the NIH, USA. This program was first published
in Analytical Biochemstry (107: 220-239, 1980), and has been employed for
data analysis and curve-fitting for ligand binding experiments. You can get
it (plus manual) free of charge when you request to Dr. Peter J. Muson at
the Laboratory of Theoretical and Biophysical Biology, NICHHD, NIH, Bldg
10, Room 6C101, Bethesda, MD 20892, USA. First thing you have to do is to
fill out a license agreement prepared by Dr. Munson and return it to him.
Other references of Ligand:
Munson, P.J. Methods in Enzymology 92: 543-576, 1983.
Muonson, P.J. J. Receptor Research 3: 249-259, 1984.
I hope this may be of some help to you, but I am sorry if his address is
changed up to now.
