I am a pharmacist in Taiwan.
There is a problem of Cardizem SR (Diltiazem 90mg capsule) approval by FDA
that the drug is recommanded to q.d. administration, but the conventional
formulation of diltiazem is suggested for a daily dose 240~360mg to treat
angina or hypertension patients in PDR 1996. So We doult the plasm serum
level of Cardizem SR capsule 90mg seens to be lower for therapeutic use. Is
it true of the above doult?
Would you kindly inform me that where I can get the plasma concentration in
steady-state of Cardizem SR capsule 90mg.
Thank you for your cooperations!

Cardizem comes in two sustained released formulations.
The SR formulation is normally dosed twice daily.
The CD formulation is normally dosed once daily.

confusion may be over the suffix SR and CD. if you have questions refer to
the package insert or call the manufacturer of Cardizem. Hope this helps.>
