Hi,
What are the requirements for a molecule to be prone to extensive
biliary excretion? It seems that cMOAT does not have structural
selectivity for different organic anions. Molecules with very diverse
structure possessing one or two carboxylic moiety are good substrate
for cMOAT systems. Does any body know what are structural requirement
for substrates transported via cMOAT system into bile? (besides,
polarity, large molecular weight and possibly charge). Could you name
a chemical which is capable of non-competitively inhibiting of cMOAT
systems.
