For those of you who have an interest in the standard "model-independent"
methods of computing pharmacokinetic parameters, I have made available a
list of 75 widely used equations. These cover plasma level PK parameters
for single and multiple doses following oral and intravenous administration.
This compilation is an excerpt from the User Guide for PK Solutions 2.0,
our Excel software program which automatically computes and displays these
and other noncompartmental pharmacokinetic results.
The noncompartmental equations document is available for perusal and/or
downloading from my website at http://www.bright.net/~dfarrier [db -
The list was prepared as both a Microsoft Word 7.0 document and as a
hypertext HTML (browser) document. If your firewall prevents you from
downloading a copy or if you need it in another format, please contact me
I trust this list will be useful, since it covers 99% of the blood level PK
parameters typically published in such journals as Drug Metabolism and
Disposition and the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. While you are at
the site, download a demo of PK Solutions 2.0, which was specifically
designed to calculate these 99% parameters - instantly!

I am very interested in getting the PK 2.0 program and the
to go with it. We use a Simkin program at our institution. It is a bit
slow. I am looking for an alternate program for my computer. I've visited
your site and sent a message to this effect via your contact us window.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
