PharmPK - Discussions about Pharmacokinetics
Pharmacodynamics and related topics
I am a graduate neuropsychology student wishing to study the effects of
anticholinergics on cognition and EEG in humans. I'm particularly
interested in looking at mecamylamine. So far I've found little details
of the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of this drug (outside of
Goodman & Gilman's). I understand it is prescribed as an
antihypertensive in the US (inversine?). Can anyone give me some more
info (e.g., bioavailability, half-life, administration, excretion,
peripheral effects)?
If that's not enough, is it available in Australia?
Thanks,
Jim Thompson
