Hi,
I am looking to purchase a Pharmacokinetic software package to run in
Windows 95 and was wondering what the users of this mailing list would
suggest that I purchase.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

The SAAM II program is ideal for the analysis of PK/PD studies.
The program is a general modeling program which will run under
Win 3.11, Win 95 and NT (as well as the Mac). You can get a free
demo version of the program freom the web at
http://weber.u.washington.edu/~rfka/htm/s2sftwr.htm
A description of the program is also at this web site. The demo
version comes with a number of PK/PD example files.

We currently use SAAM II under Win 95 and NT3.51 with out any problems. I
understand that RFKA is currently upgrading their software. See the
following link for more information.

Depends upon what you want to do. Virtually anything (even Excel) can do
simple one- and two-compartment models. For physiologically-based modeling,
something like ACSL (expensive but well-supported) or SCoP (inexpensive but
less well-supported) is good.

Bob,
Re: your search for PK software. Check out my web site at the address given
below. We have developed two items that may be of interest and have links
to some other sources..
"PK Solutions" is a Windows 95 or Macintosh data analysis program which
allows the user to strip blood level curves and then automatically
calculates about 25 non-compartmental parameters and 25 multiple dose
steady state parameters.
"Metabase" is an Excel-based sample managment, data acquisition, data
calculation and and report manager for ADME metabolism and pharmacokinetics
results. It is GLP compliant.
Perhaps you could give us a better idea of the type of software you are
looking for.
Good luck.

Could you describe what you are looking for with a little more detail?
My colleagues and I are working on a Pharmacology Education program that
includes quite a bit of information on Pharmacokinetics, but it may be
the wrong slant or the wrong audience for you. Thanks.
