Hi,
I have few question regarding tissue distribution of organic anion
transporter(s). We have a drug very rapidly and efficiently
transported into bile in rats. On the other hand, same compound
undergoes very high renal clearance in monkeys. Therefore, we are
dealing with molecules with very short MRT. I wonder the same
transport system involved in both renal and biliary levels. Is it
common to see shunting from bile to urine in animals with higher MW
cut off points?
I would appreciate any input and/or article dealing with the above
issues, particularly, tissue distribution of organic anion
transporters.
