I misplaced the original question regarding vancomycin, but maybe this
will help.  There is an article in a publication from Bayer (Miles) from
Jerome Schentag where they found a difference in clinical outcome in
patients treated with vancomycin when the area under the inhibitory
curve (AUIC) is >125 vs <125.
The title of the article is In Vivo Studies of Quinolone Actions and
Kinetics in Humans with Pneumonia.  The publication is Proceedings of a
