Hi there;

For doing a drug metabolism studies (evaluating the activity of different
CYP enzymes), is there any way of sacrificing the RATS other than the
cervical dislocation or the decapitation methods which does not alter the
CYP enzymes.

Try using CO2 as the anesthetic and then quickly harvest the liver.  If
necessary you can exsanguinate by the abdominal artery prior to liver
removal.
