Folks,

I'd be interested in help to identify reference to early literature wherein
authors compared PK determinations by classical plasma concentration versus
excretion rate methods. Any help would be appreciated.

John Wagner published a paper entitled (something to the effect): History of
Pharmacokinetics.  I believe it was in Pharmacol. Ther. about 15 years ago.  It
should have those references.  Harold.

Hi Ted,

There is an excellent review of the "History Of  Pharmacokinetics" written
by John Wagner. He published this article in Pharmacology and Theraputics
vol 12, pp 537-562, 1981. This article gives references to early work on
estimation of absorption/elimination rates from both blood and urinary
excretion data.
