Dear Colleagues,
I am looking for PBPK software that can be used for assessment of
chemical mixtures, i.e. that allows interconnection of PBPK models
for individual chemicals using information on their possible
interactions.
Thank you for your help

Dear Mr Igor Linkov,
It is possible to use any simulation software for the PBPK modeling of
mixtures. All that needs to be done is to link the single chemical models by
their mechanism of binary interactions in the appropriate mathematical
description. There are many binary interactions PBPK model that have been
published (reviewed in: Simmons J.E. 1996, Food Chem Toxicol 34, 1067-1073)
one on a ternary mixture has been published by Tardif et al. (1997, Toxicol
Appl Pharmacol 144, 120-134). I have modeled the interactions in more
complex mixtures and they will be published soon.
Some softwares that can be used are ASCL, MatLab, Simusolv,=20
ScoP, Stella
etc. It is even possible to use some a speadsheet program such as Excel or
Quattro Pro if the model is not too complex.
