Hello Everybody,
Do all the metabolites formed in the liver appear in serum? We have
detected some metabolits in bile but their peaks are absent in serum
chrmatograms. We have a SPE method which practically retains all
polar organic compounds. We are also scanning serum extracts for all
wavelengths using DAD.
Your comments would be of great help for me.
Thanking you,
Vishwanath D. Pawar

Many metabolites do not appear in serum in measurable concentrations.
Many are immediately converted into other metabolites.
6- hydroxychlorzoxazone is a metabolite that is only assayed following its
de-glucuronidation as part of sample prep. Free 6-OHCZ is not measurable.
