Hi
We have the Phoenix LIMS system and a user defined (by
Phoenix)report for exporting
results to calculation in WinNonLin - how come that the column
Nominal time and
Finalline concentrations are exported as text - we need them as
numbers for calculation.

Yvonne Petersen:
I don't know anything about Phoenix LIMS, but usually when what you
think is numeric data is imported as text it is because the importing
software (WinNonlin) reads the first row to determine the attributes of
each column. If there is a period (".") or other alphanumeric value in
the first row such as "LTS" then the entire column might be read in as
text. You can of course change this in WinNonlin after the fact or due
this in Excel prior to WinNonlin, but it is a little tedious.
Good luck!

Yvonne- While I cannot comment on the report that the Phoenix LIMS system
prepares for you I can give you a few suggestion that pertain to WinNonlin:
1. WinNonlin Enterprise Edition can connect directly to ODBC compliant data
sources. You can do this via a custom query wizard built into WinNonlin
Enterprise
2. You can also change numerical formats within WinNonlin's data worksheet.
You would do this in much the same way as you do in Excel by selecting the
column and modifying the cell formats for the entire field.
If you have any other specific questions about WinNonlin feel free to direct
them to support.at.pharsight.com.
