Hello All,
Can someone please let me know how can I obtain Inter compartmental Clearance (Q) values with 2
compartment first order absorption PK model in phoenix.
Thanks,
Soujanya

Dear Soujanya - You will need to select Parameterization: Clearance; Absorption: Extravascular; and
Num: 2. [Num: stands for number of non-absorption compartments]. The output reports CL2 which is the
inter-compartmental clearance you are looking for. Hope this helps...J

Soujanya,
In the setup tab for your PK model object, go to the model selection window at the bottom of the
screen and choose Model 11 (no lag time) or 12 (with lag time) and then select the "Clearance"
option (Checkbox below picture of compartments). Phoenix uses "CLD2" instead of "Q". You can also
see the equations where you can convert from micro-rate constants to clearance using the volume
parameter for each compartment. Q = k12*V1 = k21*V2.
I hope that helps!
