I use a Mac and have Virtual PC (Windows 95) and Microsoft Fortran
Powerstation 1.0., which run fine with a small exe file (fpsfix95.exe). My
problem is that Adapt will not install with Windows 95. I know Powerstation
4.0 is recommended, but it costs =A3750. Any helpful ideas.
This is not a Mac problem, as I have the same difficulty with another IBM machine.
Many thanks,
Steve Lowis
[db - I have ADAPT installed on a campus VAX with its FORTRAN compiler and
telnet from my Mac ;-). Boomer (http://www.boomer.org) runs fine on the
Mac. Also there is a Mac version of SAAM II - BTW NONMEM runs well on the
Mac using the Absoft compiler.
Any Windows users want to try answering the quesion asked? :-)]

The Adapt Release 4 is available for operating systems Win 95 and Win
3.1 (DOS) and both are supplied on the disk. The Win 3.1(DOS)
version, I think can be used with MS Fortran Powerstation 1.0 when
used in a DOS window of Win 95. I am currently using the DOS version
of Adapt in a Win 95 DOS window with MS Fortran. This version can be
used in batch mode while the newer versons cannot.
You may wish to contact David D'Argenio if you have problems with the
installation. However, if you want to use Adapt under windows 95
(not DOS window) then you will have to get MS Fortran Powerstation
4.0 which I think is no longer supported. The new version of Fortran
is the Digital Visual Fortran 5.0.
