Hello,
Could someone please suggest a good source or web page for the clearance
of drugs via continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH).
Thanks,

Having recently reviewed this literature, I would recommend :
Schetz M, Ferdinande P, Van Den Berghe G, Verwaest C, Lauwers P.
Pharmacokinetics of continuous renal replacement therapy. Intensive Care
Med 1995;21:612-20.
Bressolle F, Kinowski JM, De la Coussaye JE, Wynn N, Eledjam JJ, Galtier M.
Clinical pharmacokinetics during continuous haemofiltration. Clin
Pharmacokinet 1994;26/6:457-71.
Our review has recently been published (however it is written in French) :
T. Buclin, C. Robatel, J. Biollaz, Prescription m=E9dicamenteuse lors
d'=E9puration extrar=E9nale continue : bases pharmacocin=E9tiques, revue de =
la
litt=E9rature et validation d'une approche pr=E9dictive simple. R=E9an.Urg.

I hope this helps

We have just had an international meeting on continuous renal replacement
therapies in Vicenza, Italy. There was an excellent review of drug dosing,
especially antibiotics during CRRT including CVVH. You can find a summary in
the supplement to the May 1998 issue of Kidney International, which is the
proceedings of the First International Course on Critical Care Nephrology.
