Have Any of you some suggestions of how to model clamp studies?
The data will typically consist of insulin concentration as pk data.
The dynamic part will be split into two sections: you will have the
drop in plasma glucose and the glucose infusion rate.
For the study I'm trying to model two different types of insulin is
compared, the drop in plasma glucose concentration was the same for
the two types of insulin, because the infusion of glucose is adjusted
to keep it at a certain level. So infact the difference between the
two types of insulin are reflected in different glucose infusion
rates.
I have tryed to use the indirect response models. Because I thougt
that glucose could be used as effect data, and the input (kin) is a
zero order input function which I could add to my infusion rate. But
this approach was not very succesful.
Has anyone any suggestions of how to model data like this??
