Dear Colleagues,
I would like to know if any one has information about differences in
the plasma protein binding of acidic compounds among various species
(e.g. rats, mice , dogs, and monkeys). We are recently dealing with an
acidic compound which exhibits remarkable differences in protein
binding among various species.
* Is this commonly observed phenomena?
* Is this difference in plasma protein binding impact interspecies
scaling?
* What are pharmacodynamic consequence of plasma protein binding
differences, particularly, in extrapolating response from animals to
man?
* What is the value of plasma protein binding in the absence of
affinity data?
Thanks
Majid Vakily Ph.D.
