Dear colleagues,
Nobody knows a method for HPLC determination of Taurine in biological fluids?
Best regards in advance

Dear colleagues,
I think there is a method for deterimination of taurine using
HPLC-EC. The mobile phase is fairly simple, 50 mM phosphate buffer,
with about 2-5% acetonitrile, and low pH (about pH 2.7?), possible a
modifier like octansulfonic acid or other related compounds. Column
that might work would be a C18 5 um, 150 x 4.6 or 250 x 4.6. I think
it was published in J. Chromatography A, and I saw it on a flyer that
ESA, (the company that makes the electrochemical detector sent to
me). They are on the world wide web at ESAINC.com and are located in
Chelmsford Massachusetts. If I can find the advertisement I can get
the exact reference for the method. ESA can probably send a methods
sheet to you directly.
